How to Get Rid of Gibbiums Without Getting Poisoned
Since this insect is not well known and yet very present in our homes, I decided to answer Mario's question by making a blog article about it.
Marino's question
Good morning,
I am looking for an insecticide to combat gibbiums.
What can you advise me to eliminate them?
Hello Marino,
You've come to the right place, I have what you need: pyrethroids and diatomaceous earth will help you get rid of these little insects. Gibbiums like to live and grow in the corners of our homes. They seek out humidity and darkness . They are mainly found in old houses , in attics, between old walls and the plasterboard that covers them, under floors. Resembling a small spider or a large tick, it measures 2 to 3 millimeters , four wading legs, two antennae, a round reddish body , a small black head. It is a small, fat creature with a slow gait. Fortunately, it does not sting , it is content to be there.

How to get rid of it?
First, I recommend a big spring cleaning , throw out everything that is cluttering the attic, a good sweep and vacuum.
To destroy all cold-blooded animals, we use pyrethroids . The product that I recommend to you for its effectiveness, and for its unbeatable quality/price ratio is without a doubt the BSI STOP Insects.
As gibbiums hide in hard-to-reach places , they will need to be destroyed by treating floors, walls, behind furniture, but also under floors and behind partitions. You can drill holes in floors or partitions to inject the product, then fill them in later.
Once the BSI STOP Insects spray has dried thoroughly, you can spread diatomaceous earth in corners, on the attic floor, along baseboards. This diatomaceous earth is also very economical and above all it does not contain any chemicals or pesticides. This natural powder will penetrate the respiratory system of insects and kill them by drying. More information on diatomaceous earth.
